The Scout hub is the main controller of each Scout Pack’s security system. It communicates with the products purchased with the security system. The Scout hub is designed with 4G cellular backup so that if your home Internet connection fails, you’ll still have monitoring in the event of emergencies. It also includes a 105dB siren to scare off intruders when triggered.

The Scout Door Panel is designed as a line of protection for your main door and is equipped with an RFID reader so you can easily swipe in or out to arm or disarm your security system. An RFID sticker or the key fobs can be used for arming or disarming.

Prone to leaving your keys? The Yale Smart Door Lock makes it easy to lock or unlock your door from any location. You can also use pin-codes so you don’t have to be concerned with keeping a key. As an added benefit, you can sync the Yale Smart Door Lock with your security system to lock your door when your system is armed and unlock your door when your system is disarmed.


Scout Package & Monitoring Costs

The cost of your abode home security system depends on which equipment and monitoring service you choose. To get your total price, add up the cost of your desired equipment (paid up front or financed) with the monthly fee for your monitoring plan (paid monthly or yearly). Note that each abode package is customizable so you can add on additional devices as necessary. Also, you may be eligible for a discounted rate if you bundle your equipment and monitoring service together.

For monitoring, you have several options. You can self-monitor your security system for free with the Basic Plan. You can also self-monitor your system and get 4G LTE cellular backup with the Connect Plan, which costs $8.00/mo. or $80.00/yr.). 4G LTE backup will ensure you stay connected with the monitoring center in case your home Internet connection goes down. If you prefer professional monitoring, you can choose the Secure Plan for $20.00/mo. or $200.00/yr.

Do I have to sign a contract to use Scout’s security services?

No, you do not have to sign a contract to use Scout’s security services. You can purchase your equipment upfront or finance your equipment through Affirm.

Are Scout alarm systems DIY or will a professional install my kit for me?

Scout alarm systems are DIY kits, giving you the ability to install your system. Scout does not offer a professional installation option.

What is Scout’s return policy?

Scout will only accept returns for devices purchased through their website (www.scoutalarm.com). You can return items you’ve purchased from Scout within 60 days. To receive a full refund, you’ll need to re-package your devices purchased and documentation. Once they are received, your eligibility will be determined for a full refund.
