While the Jetsons TV show provides an interesting take on futuristic home cleaning, the Samsung Bot™ Handy brings it to life. Consumer giant, Samsung, has unveiled this concept of a new robotic assistant for CES 2021.

As a closer look at the robotic assistant’s design, it utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to identify objects and handle them. The Samsung Bot™ Handy can also adjust the amount of pressure or force needed for picking up and moving objects, as well as adjusting its height for reach.

“Our innovations are designed to provide more personal and more intuitive experiences that express your personality. We’re hard at work to bring you next-generation innovation, with AT as the core enabler, for your better tomorrow,” states Sebastian Seung, President, and Head of Samsung Research, about the company’s developments.

Another robotic assistant, the Samsung JetBot 90 AI+, also utilizes AI, a LiDAR sensor, and 3D sensor to help it map out a room and maneuver around objects for vacuuming.

How Much Does the Samsung Bot™ Handy Cost?

As of current, the Bot™ Handy is in development. The company has not provided a release date or price for the product. While this robot is more of a concept, for now, we anticipate more smart home devices and assistants that may expand on human capabilities.
