Check out the trailblazing smart home company’s newest addition.

The Newest Smart Home Device from Wyze

Wyze, a relative newcomer to the home security industry, is making waves in smart home circles with its dramatically low prices and generally good product reviews. The latest addition to its lineup is an inexpensive smart plug with all of the features you’d expect from a home automation device in 2019.

In keeping with the company’s reputation for ultra-affordability, its new Wyze Plugs are sold in a two-pack for only $14.99. Its advertised features should be attractive to any smart home buyer looking to set up affordable, easily accessible home automation:

  • Plugging ordinary “dumb” appliances into the Wyze plugs them into smart ones. You can set timers or turn them on and off remotely via the Wyze mobile app.
  • They’re compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
  • Wyze Plugs do not require a smart home hub – you can begin to automate your home without any additional devices.
  • They're inobstrusive. They look like an elongated phone charger, and you can fit two into one outlet.

Wyze Plugs are available to Early Access buyers now through the Wyze website and will ship in September. We expect that they’ll be available through Amazon once they start shipping. If you’re curious about Wyze, check out their other smart home security devices: Wyze Cam, Wyze Cam Pan, Smart Bulbs and the complete Wyse Sense starter kit. Every item, even the starter kit, is under $50. And if you’re eager to shop smart plugs due to their cost-savings potential, check out’s list of the best smart plugs available now.
