Winner: Schlage

Winner: Schlage

It was a close call for us, but we believe that Schlage has an advantage with built-in alarm technology for several smart locks, mobile app options, and lots of smart home integration options. One of the benefits of alarm technology is active deterrence, letting an intruder know they’ve been detected and notifying you on your smartphone. Schlage does have an “F” rating with the BBB currently with several complaints that mostly involve customer service. This is also worth keeping in mind as you decide. While Kwikset as a competitor has great smart lock options as well, we believe Schlage has the advantage with its features.
