How does their customer service compare?
ADT offers 24/7 tech support, but Smith Thompson does not. They’re available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
What happens if I move?
Unfortunately, Smith Thompson’s equipment cannot be moved once it’s been installed at your home. If you move, you will have to leave your security system there.
If you’re an ADT customer, you may be able to take your existing equipment reinstalled at your new home. However, you may be charged installation and activation fees. If you cannot take the system, ADT offers $100 off a new system and 25% off new sensors and other devices.
